Stayed the week with the family at Rosa house, we loved it! Enough room and space for all without being on top of one another. The house has a great verandah where we sat for most meals with a peaceful ambiance and made us not want to leave it’s such a relaxing place. The property is overall immaculately kept. Bonus with the little boutique winery across the road which is reasonably priced. Not a far drive from Sydney we will definitely be back!!!

As we drove through the highly polished and trafficked streets of Pokolbin, Hunter Valley onto the winding, bush lined road headed towards Broke, I felt the tightening in my chest ease, my shoulders relax, my breath come easier.

We stopped for eggs at the Broke General Store (I forgot them at the supermarket) and I was not disappointed. A family run store that had every thing from petrol to eggs to fast food. And friendly service.

Eggs on board, we debated over the address…. was it Wollombi Street or Wollombi Road?? Instinct (and an email from the owners) led us down Wollombi Road. And what a road. If you haven’t ventured further then Pokolbin in your quest for good Australian wine country, where the bloody hell are you?!!

Despite the 100km/hr roadways, the drive to Broke felt like a journey back to 1824. True Aussie farm country. Sweeping views, untouched bush. Just beautiful. And every now and then and Angels split the sky, shining heavenly light onto gorgeous grapevines. Queue the “Hallelujah” Chorus!

And then we arrived. Rosa Cottage. A true Aussie wine country experience. When we turned into the driveway I felt like I was going off the grid. It’s remote without feeling isolated. Its off the grid without feeling switched off. It is as unpretentious as a true Aussie, has all the mod cons with none of the arsehole. Its a place you can truly relax. With kids, with friends, with the girls or just with your lover.

It lends itself to the Aussie spirit of adventure or the need to turn off, switch off (but still have wifi cause facebook & insta posts people!!!).

With 4 generous bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equiped kitchen & laundry, Rosa Cottage meets all your needs for a weekend or a few weeks away. An entertaining deck overlooking Greenway Winery is the perfect place to bbq, taste the local cheese plates and the wine. Oh the wine!!!

The home suits multiple families with the added luxury of a bonus living space off the deck. Think movies & games nights!

Rosa house is the perfect holiday house. It is spacious and comfortable with a beautiful deck taking in the gorgeous valley views. It is located near some lovely boutique wineries and is so peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and the unlimited WiFi is a huge bonus! This was our second stay and we’ll definitely be back again.

What a top place to stay, peaceful, roomy, well located and close to Sydney and Newcastle. Plenty of space to explore and lovely views from the verandah. There are also some great winery’s only a short distance away – we will be back!

This is my 3rd stay. I just love this place. Pure escapism. Tranquility at it ‘s best. The view is to die for. No complaints from me! Love it, love it and love it more!

This is a lovely home. We had a very enjoyable time, very peaceful and serene and the views are sensational. The house was just perfect for our large family. Kids loved it.
